The SLICES-FR (Scientific Large Scale Infrastructure for Computing\/Communication Experimental Studies \u2013 France) Research Infrastructure makes it possible to experiment with any new software and\/or hardware approach across the entire IoT\/networks\/edge\/cloud continuum allowing a holistic vision across the entire data chain, from its capture to its processing, including its transport and storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SLICES-FR offers configuration, programming and measurement services on a wide range of heterogeneous equipment via single accesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These equipment and services cover the areas of network protocols, radio technologies, the Internet of Things, services and data collection, parallel and distributed computing, edge and cloud computing for reproducible and responsible research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the French landscape, SLICES-FR goes beyond borders. SLICES-FR is the French node of the European Research Infrastructure SLICES-RI (Research Infrastructure) which has 16 partner countries for an expected operating period until 2040. European users of SLICES-RI will have access to the equipment operated by SLICES-FR and vice versa, French users registered on SLICES-RI will benefit from access to equipment from European partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from other European infrastructures dedicated to fundamental sciences, SLICES-RI is the first ESFRI-labeled infrastructure dedicated to computer science research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
