SLICES-FR is bootstrapped thanks to significant funding coming mainly from two PEPRs: the PEPR Cloud and the PEPR Networks of the Future.
PC8 (Targeted Project No. 8) of the PEPR Cloud, SILECS, is the infrastructure PC and is entirely dedicated to the implementation of the IoT/core network/edge/cloud component of SLICES-FR. The amount financed for this project is 14 million euros.
PC10 (Targeted Project No. 10) of the PEPR Networks of the Future is the infrastructure PC of this PEPR and is broken down into 3 axes including one entirely dedicated to the implementation of the cellular network component (LTE, 4G, 5G, 6G ) and wifi from SLICES-FR. The amount financed for this project is 3.5 million euros.
This funding is supplemented locally by CPERs such as CPER CORNELIA in Lille, SAMOURAI in Rennes and ALLIAGE/SILECS Grand Est in Strasbourg and Nancy. Finally, SLICES-FR is supported by all of our GIS member supervisory bodies which provide permanent staff and host the equipment.
