SLICES-RI is a distributed research infrastructure focused on digital sciences, pooling networking, computing and storage resources across countries, nodes and sites in Europe.
Labeled by ESFRI, it aims to support high-level research, high-tech industry and industrial competitiveness, while contributing to the societal impact of digital technology. This platform offers specialized instruments for research into digital infrastructures, also promoting education and training.
SLICES-RI aims to become a sustainable infrastructure, operated over several decades, integrating future digital innovations.
It meets the needs of researchers in IT and infrastructure, as well as data-driven scientific applications and interdisciplinary aspects, particularly with regard to energy efficiency and the transition to a green economy.
In alignment with the priorities of ESFRI and the new challenges of Europe, SLICES-RI represents an essential investment for digital transformation. SLICES-RI is supported by France and currently brings together 16 European states.
