SLICES-FR responds to new needs of scientific communities to respond to the growth of technologies and the convergence between computing and networks with a view to reproducible and virtuous research.
With more than 20 years of experience in network and cloud research infrastructures, SLICES-FR provides a cutting-edge experimentation service for each type of hardware resource made available. Beyond standard use based on a single type of resource, SLICES-FR aims to facilitate advanced uses for the realization of complex and advanced scenarios implementing multiple types of heterogeneous resources.
SLICES-FR interconnects the hardware resources of numerous sites in France in order to authorize very large-scale experiments consisting of several thousand nodes. The ambition of SLICES-FR is not limited to providing simple access to remote resources. SLICES-FR creates and offers the tools to experiment and evaluate new technologies linked to the networks and data centers of the future to build the Internet and Cloud of tomorrow.
